On the afternoon of October 26, at the Head Office of the Provincial Party Committee, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien welcomed and worked with representatives of United Expert Investment Limited (United Kingdom) to explore investment opportunities in waste treatment projects using modern technologies. At the meeting, representatives of United Expert Investment Limited Company introduced the non-hazardous solid waste treatment technological process by burning waste to energy, which is suitable to the conditions of mixed domestic waste, without upstream sorting, with high humidity and fluctuations. With new and modern technology, the plant is built on an area of 6 hectares with a treatment capacity of 500 tons of waste/day and night. This waste treatment technology meets the standards on environmental protection, recycles waste to generate power and contributes to reducing the pressure on today’s lack of landfill. In Vietnam, the company is implementing investment projects in Phu Tho, Thanh Hoa and Hanoi.    

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, highly appreciated the goodwill of the entity when coming to Hai Duong to explore investment opportunities. The Secretary confirmed that Hai Duong would be ready to accept the project if the waste treatment plant was built and operated in accordance with the introduced technological process. Regarding the location of the plant, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the People's Committee of Cam Giang district to coordinate with the concerned departments and branches to research, receive and situate the plant as planned, near the roads and water sources and distance for waste transportation from other localities is appropriate. Other localities would produce the plan to arrange the locations of the waste treatment plants as planned. The Departments of Planning and Investment, Natural Resources and Environment, Science and Technology would coordinate in carrying out specific researches, proposing the plans to receive the investments in modern technology-using waste treatment plant projects as soon as possible.
